Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid period, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually splitting with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface since March of the previous year.
Victory also means the Russian has secured 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the elite level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his initial tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent saved 4 initial break points in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
